It's Christmas Eve today, and it's unusually cold outside, even for this time of year. Being a Premier member for a while, I relied on Triple A for assistance when my car wouldn't start in the driveway. I only needed battery service, not a tow, but unfortunately, due to the high volume of roadside car problems during winter, battery service wasn't available immediately. Now, I find myself alone on Christmas Eve without any help in sight. I tried to resolve the issue independently, not wanting to take help away from others in need. However, after discussing my situation with friends and family, it became clear that they shared the sentiment that this situation was mishandled by Triple A. I'm disappointed that Triple A couldn't come through for me, especially during the holiday season, and I feel a compensation is warranted for the inconvenience caused to me and my loved ones.

Last night, my family and I were stranded in freezing temperatures for six long hours waiting for a tire change. Despite contacting AAA, we only received a runaround. Eventually, two officers attempted to help us, but concluded the car needed to be towed. Subsequently, a friend picked us up, and AAA converted the request to a tow, instructing me to leave my car unlocked with the keys inside. It has been nine hours, and my car remains untouched. Various excuses have been provided, but all I want is my car returned to me promptly.

I contacted AAA in Jefferson, GA yesterday at 8:35 a.m. and 8:43 a.m. to report issues with my check engine light, car shaking, and a strange smell. The towing service asked if I was safe, and despite confirming, my Jeep Cherokee manual indicated I needed maintenance. With four passengers, the tow driver suggested I get a rental car. Today at 12:18 p.m., I got a voicemail from Jennifer at AAA referring to my previous call still being active and received a text about my location from yesterday. Despite cold conditions and having children in the car, I never received a call back or another text on the same day. I am appalled that AAA seemed to expect me to spend the night in freezing temperatures with my kids without providing assistance. I demand a Corporate representative to address why this happened, ensure this doesn't occur again, and discuss compensation for this ordeal.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my new credit card company. The customer service representatives are friendly and competent, but there is so much loud background noise during calls that it's hard to communicate effectively. Today, I received a call from them, was placed on hold, and then disconnected. The representative mentioned a payment due today, which I paid on 12/19 via phone, but apparently, the caller had no record of it. Once I use up my travel points, I plan to cancel my card as it seems the company lacks efficiency and a proper computer system to support their employees. Additionally, I've had issues with Comenity not being able to accept online payments from my bank. As a member of AAA for over 30 years, I believe this company does not meet the standards AAA members deserve. Thank you for forwarding this to the correct corporate department. Reference number: #[redacted][redacted].

My truck was impounded after AAA roadside assistance tried to tow it out of the mud but had to call a local towing service instead. Now, I'm being asked to pay to release my truck from impound. I believe AAA should cover the impound fees since their initial attempt was unsuccessful, and my truck is only impounded because they couldn't resolve the situation. I need assistance to prevent losing my belongings, as everything I own is in the truck that serves as my home. Please advise on how to proceed with resolving this issue and getting my truck released from impound. Your help is greatly appreciated in this matter.

I am frustrated with the process of contacting AAA locally or at corporate headquarters. Being directed to voicemail and waiting for uncertain call-backs is irritating. The short staffing issue is not an excuse for poor service. Additionally, the experience with AAA tow service in San Diego was disappointing. Initially, being informed of a 45-minute wait for a battery problem that turned into over an hour reflects badly on the service. This was a significant waste of time and effort. The additional time spent trying to reach AAA to report these issues is aggravating. I do not want just an apology; actions speak louder than words.

Dear Customer Service, I am writing to express my frustration with the handling of my attempt to contact the AAA corporate office. After being directed to the corporate directors, I was then redirected to an AI help line, which only led me back to the general roadside assistance number. This resulted in over a half hour hold time, which is unacceptable. It seems like the system is ineffective, relying too heavily on automated bots instead of providing real assistance. As a long-term 47-year member of AAA, I am disappointed with the lack of support and the outdated technology being used. Despite their apologies and scripted responses, it is clear that the service provided by AAA has not improved over the years. I believe it may be time for me to consider alternative options outside of AAA. Sincerely, Mr. Randazzo

On January 20th around 4 am, I accidentally locked my keys in a white early 2000s Crown Victoria while working as a security guard in Lancaster, CA. I called AAA for help, but no locksmith was available locally. AAA quoted me $[redacted] and a 60-90 minute wait, but they never showed up. When local locksmiths opened at 7 am, I called off the service with the AAA representative. However, I was still charged the $[redacted]. Despite my repeated explanations that no one had arrived to assist, the AAA representative called me the next day and processed the charge. I work the graveyard shift and was driving when she called, catching me off guard. I seek a refund promptly. My contact information is +[redacted]3, and I am responsive via email. Thank you for your assistance.

Last week, I contacted AAA for assistance with my motorcycle. I wasn't a member, but needed a jump start to ride home. I was charged $75 and $60, totaling $[redacted]. After waiting for over an hour, AAA informed me the tow truck couldn't assist due to a missing jump box. They offered to tow my bike within 5 miles, charging $7 per additional mile. However, they later said coverage was invalid without motorcycle insurance. I canceled the service and requested a refund. AAA assured me the money would be refunded promptly to my card. It has been 5 days, and I'm still waiting for the refund.

I purchased expensive motorcycle insurance last night at 6 p.m. at your Capitola office with Auggie Webber. My husband feels the insurance is not worth the cost as my bike's value is lower than what was recommended. Auggie insisted on including uninsured motorist coverage for $300k, costing me over $[redacted] which is difficult for me as a disabled person on a limited income. My current Allstate insurance is less than $40 a month for my motorcycle valued at $15,[redacted], but realistically worth around $4,[redacted]. I do not want this insurance and will be stopping the payment from my bank account. It has only been 12 hours since the purchase.

Earlier today at around 10 a.m., I had a AAA battery technician visit to assess my [redacted] Honda Accord. He confirmed that I indeed require a new battery and also flagged the need for alternator repair. Currently, my vehicle is undergoing alternator maintenance at the shop. However, I still need a new battery as the technician did not have one available. I am hoping another AAA technician can deliver a new battery to the shop later today. This way, we can promptly replace the battery after the alternator is fixed. I want to mention that my existing battery is still within the 3-year warranty period.

I require AAA membership due to the poor service and stress caused by the contracted tow company sent to pick up my Kia Sorento from Jeff Coats Auto repair on 3/9/23 and deliver it to KIA of Wilmington for warranty and recall work. We were informed on Thursday that the 3D Tow company from AAA arrived late, and Jeff Coats was closed. They assured us they would come the next morning. When the 3D tow driver got to the dealership, they declined to tow the car to the service lot, deciding to take it back to the tow lot instead of following Austin's instructions over the phone. They even tried to demand $[redacted] from us to release the car. We've been dealing with this for three days, not knowing where our car is. We missed our month-awaited appointment and are covering the self-rental costs as KIA hasn't diagnosed the car yet. My husband, who is battling cancer, has his third surgery on Monday. With kids and an elderly parent to look after, this situation is distressing. Currently waiting on hold for assistance again.

On the night of August 28, [redacted], my car wouldn't start in Kittery, Maine, on my way back to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, around 5 p.m. We reached out to AAA for help around 6 p.m. and had to make a total of 7 to 9 calls until 12:45 a.m. on August 29, [redacted]. Eventually, we decided to schedule a service call for 8:30 a.m. the next day. Eric from Portland, Maine, came out and suggested the starter motor might be weak. He showed us how to keep going if the engine stalled by advising not to turn off the engine or stop while refueling. We followed his advice and made it home. We want to express our thanks for his knowledgeable and friendly service and would like his contact information to show our appreciation. We received two $[redacted] checks between September 20 and 30, [redacted], which we deposited on February 22, [redacted]. Unfortunately, in early March, we found out AAA's check #[redacted]8 was canceled with a "Non-Credit Loss Reference #" and we are seeking an explanation for this stop payment. Considering the poor response we experienced, we feel AAA should compensate us with more than $[redacted]. Should we decide to recount our entire ordeal from that evening onwards, AAA may face negative publicity. We look forward to your prompt reply. Sincerely, Anthony C.H. Mann C.P.A. - C.A.

AAA's service in Sioux Falls, SD left me stranded last June without assistance for over 3 hours after my car had a minor issue. As a disabled individual, it was a challenging situation, especially since I had groceries worth $[redacted] melting in the heat. Despite multiple calls to AAA, I received no help and was eventually forced to seek assistance from Tea at a significant cost. The experience was frustrating as promises of a voucher were made but never fulfilled, and my Premier coverage was unexpectedly canceled in September. Communication with AAA has been disorganized and unhelpful, with numerous transfers, disconnects, and broken promises about reimbursement for the services rendered. The lack of support and poor customer service I experienced has made me question the value of maintaining my membership with AAA, which I have held for years. Their online resources were also inadequate when I sought travel assistance and materials. My disappointment with AAA's service in this situation has been significant, impacting my trust in their ability to provide reliable assistance.

My 82-year-old brother was stranded on the side of the road in Alpena, Michigan. Despite reaching out to your company for a tow truck, he waited for three hours with no help. The local AAA towing company, Prells, claimed they were not contacted by AAA, with the dispatcher accusing AAA of lying. After nearly four hours, we had to resort to another towing service that I had to pay for. I am disappointed in your inability to assist and wish to file a complaint against the towing company representing your business. They even accused me of not contacting AAA, saying I was a liar. I reached out to you twice and provided my name, Judy Trapp, and my relationship to my brother, Wayne Trapp. This entire ordeal was completely unacceptable.

I experienced a terrible situation last June when I was stranded. Despite numerous calls, I was kept on hold for hours, feeling like I was stuck in a waiting game. I attempted to send them a copy of the bill I paid for in cash that night. After spending 3 hours in the sweltering heat, my $[redacted] worth of groceries spoiled, I suffered heat stroke and dehydration. I had to contact another company for help. Unfortunately, the person from the tow truck in town had a breakdown. I just needed an unlock service, but my keychain broke, leading my keys to fall into the trunk along with the groceries as I closed it. Despite sending multiple emails, I received no response after they acknowledged receiving them multiple times. I have been a loyal AAA customer for years, but the lack of response has left me frustrated. I refuse to pay for my premium service until this issue is resolved. Despite their promise of an extension, my attempts to contact them have been futile. The app is not functioning, and I have not received any callbacks or assistance. It seems impossible to reach them by phone. I am contemplating switching to Good Sam or another service due to the current lack of customer service and support from AAA.

In [redacted], I purchased a battery with a remaining 6-year warranty. Unfortunately, it failed on 4/13/[redacted]. I contacted AAA, and they mentioned I needed to be an active member to utilize the warranty. I was instructed to submit all the necessary details to the reimbursement department. After doing so, they informed me that I must renew my AAA membership to obtain a refund for the battery. I am dissatisfied with this process and would appreciate a call at [redacted] to address this issue as it seems unjust.

I recently went to get a new tire. Unfortunately, after waiting for several hours, I was informed last minute that my battery didn't pass a test. The staff advised me to contact AAA, the original seller, because it was not suitable for my car. It was already late, and I was exhausted, just wanting to get home. However, by the time I realized and tried to reach out to AAA, they were closed. I wish Nissan had alerted me earlier, so I could have resolved it then. When I attempted to reach Nissan after returning home, it was too late. Now, I am struggling to book another appointment, as there are no slots available for several days. I will have to address the AAA issue later. Right now, I urgently need a new battery!

I recently relocated to Cedar Bluff, AL and had issues with roadside assistance as my car wouldn't start. After waiting for over 2 hours and being told they couldn't service me, I was advised to buy a battery from Auto Zone, which was not a feasible option as my car wouldn't start. Following this, I called to cancel my membership on 5/31, having paid for the year starting from 4/1. I was initially ensured a refund to my credit card within 7-10 days, but as of 6/22, I have not received it. Upon following up, I was informed that refunds are not provided and that I needed to cancel before 4/1. I would like a refund from 5/31-4/1 and am open to receiving a check by mail. It would be beneficial to ensure consistent training for all staff members to provide accurate information. My membership number is [redacted], and I can be reached at [redacted]. Thank you, Patricia Laughton.
