I appealed the decision from EDD as they have not released the rest of my unemployment funds, claiming I did not provide the correct documentation. However, I did submit a photo of my passport, which is listed as an acceptable document. I will be participating in the appeal hearing over the phone since I am currently out of state. I'm unsure how I can present my documents during a phone call, especially when it's not a video call but just an audio call.

I am having trouble filing a new claim. I attempted to file a new claim on 02/04/21, but despite creating an account and verifying my ID through ID.me, I am unable to proceed. I have reached out to ID.me via email multiple times and have made numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact EDD, including leaving a message on their website. Unfortunately, I have not received any guidance or assistance from either party.

I need to contact the EDD in California urgently. Recently, I discovered that money was withdrawn from my account without my knowledge when I applied for unemployment benefits and received a card that was not linked to my account. I have informed the IRS twice via email about the situation, explaining that Victor Hernandez stole my identity to open an account and receive benefits fraudulently. I have received emails about a bank account and a car being purchased in my name, although I do not own any accounts or vehicles. After freezing the Bank of America account, I was directed to the branch in Merced, CA, where I was unable to take any action due to insufficient identification. The bank advised me to contact the EDD in Merced to prove my identity, report the fraud, and potentially reclaim my refund. It is crucial to speak with the Merced California EDD offices to prevent Victor from accessing my benefits and address these issues promptly.

My identity was stolen by Victor Hernandez, who opened an account for unemployment and stimulus benefits. Despite giving him my information to help with the benefits, I have not received anything. After contacting Victor, he claimed he couldn't file for me and advised me to contact the IRS. Months later, Victor mentioned someone stole my stimulus card, and we went to the bank together. Unfortunately, Victor changed the address on the account to his and I never received my benefits. I also received emails about a bank account with Citibank opened in my name. Even after contacting Citibank, they found no account associated with my social security number. Frustrated, I filed my taxes to get my own card. It seems like the unemployment benefits were sent to Victor's card. I need the EDD of California to help me prove my identity to the bank so I can receive my benefits.

My identity was stolen by Victor H. who opened an account for unemployment and stimulus benefits using my information. Despite Victor's promises to help me receive benefits, I have not received anything to this day. After reaching out to Victor (whose last name on Facebook is Ochoa), he claimed he tried but couldn't file for me, redirecting me to the IRS. Following Victor's involvement in freezing the account due to stolen stimulus card, we visited Bank of America together with Victor making changes without my consent later. Despite multiple false alerts about bank accounts and car purchases, even after contacting Citi Bank, I couldn't find a resolution. Now, I need the EDD of California to verify my identity to Bank of America in hopes of finally accessing my benefits.

At the start of January, I submitted my forms to EDD as requested. My PUA account was closed, and despite providing all the necessary documents, I was instructed to reopen it. I uploaded the identity verification documents online as requested. After attempting to reopen the claim, it appeared successful, but I am unable to certify for benefits. I rely on these payments as I lost my job directly due to Covid-19. I have tried multiple phone numbers for EDD over the past month but have been consistently disconnected. My name is Cody C., and you can reach me at [redacted]. Kindly allow me to certify for my ongoing benefits.

I mistakenly applied for an unemployment claim due to confusion, but I am actually employed and my company wants to keep me with reduced hours. I need to switch to partial unemployment instead. The current claim led me to Cal Jobs, but I do not want a new job as I value my current position and benefits for my family's welfare. I have not received any benefits yet. Can I close the regular claim and apply for partial unemployment to address the reduced hours we are facing?

To whom it may concern, I am reaching out for assistance with my Edd claim issue. On December 26, [redacted], my benefits were stopped for identity verification. Despite being told I would receive more information by January 6, I had to wait until January 11. I was instructed to verify my identity on Id.me within 10 days, but due to high verifications, the deadline was extended to 30 days. After struggling for days, I finally verified my identity, only to receive a notice of disqualification instead of my benefits. I have been tirelessly calling the Edd for weeks without a resolution. They disconnected my calls and advised me to appeal, which I did two weeks ago. However, I have not received any confirmation. I am in a dire situation with bills piling up, running out of food, and facing a car repossession due to the lack of benefits. I urge for a prompt resolution as I have followed all procedures correctly. Sincerely, J.J. M.

I have two similar issues to address. First, my boyfriend has been struggling with his ongoing EDD claim related to the pandemic. Unfortunately, someone fraudulently accessed his account, changed his contact information, and he was left unable to collect benefits for six months. Now, to verify his identity, he needs to navigate the complex ID.ME system, which is causing delays in his payments. We are trying to reach a real person through the [redacted]-[redacted] helpline to resolve this verification issue promptly. The second problem is more straightforward. I am also trying to file for unemployment benefits but have been unable to verify my identity through ID.ME. This roadblock is hindering me from starting the filing process. Thank you.

My Federal Extension claim balance hit zero, and now I am receiving a message stating that my claim has expired for weeks after 11/28/[redacted]. It advises me to reapply if I am still unemployed. This is concerning as I rely on these benefits to pay rent next week. I need guidance on whether to file a new claim or have my current claim fixed promptly. It's crucial I resolve this issue before my next certification on Sunday.

On October 3, [redacted], I applied for unemployment with Calif. EDD and was notified that my application was processed. I was supposed to receive my EDDCAN account number in the mail within two weeks, but I never got it. Since November 1, [redacted], I've been trying to reach CA EDD to get my account number to finalize my registration. Despite numerous calls, all I get is a message saying they are overwhelmed with calls. On February 23, [redacted], after waiting on the phone from 5:25pm to 6:45pm, I finally spoke to a representative who couldn't find my account. He transferred me to another line, where I was left on hold until after EDD's closing time at 8pm. I've been unsuccessful in finding a way to schedule a call back. I urgently need my account number to complete the registration process and update my account details.

Last year, the EDD employees stole my identity, and it appears to be happening again. My family faces homelessness by Sunday due to EDD fraud. Although I was approved for 11 weeks, I have not received payment. Yesterday, my ID check was fine, yet now there are issues with my ID again, despite sending a hard copy. I received a letter about changing my PIN, which I never do. No one at EDD can confirm who made that fraudulent change. EDD employees have stolen my identity and money, and no one will address my concerns. Reporting all fraud to the FBI and having a Monday hearing with the Labor Board.

Since I was disqualified on June 13, I filed an appeal but have not received any clear reasons for the disqualification. Each time I call, I receive different answers that do not make sense and just told to wait. I applied for food stamps as my rent is severely overdue, and I feel like there is nothing else I can do. I even filed a complaint through EDD email, but they stated they don't handle benefit issues. This situation goes beyond a simple claims problem. It seems like neglect or maybe more. It's frustrating that even after appealing, there has been no response since August last year. I really need assistance to resolve this issue.

I recently certified for my previous weeks two days ago, but I'm still waiting for the payment to show up on my EDD card. Despite it showing as paid, I haven't received it yet. I've been trying to reach someone at EDD without success to inquire about the delay. This situation is unusual for me, and I need the funds urgently to handle my grandmother's hospital bills. Could you assist me in figuring out where the payment is and why the delay is occurring? Your help would be greatly appreciated as I am expecting these funds on my card. Thank you.

In March, a friend helped me complete my paperwork, but her tablet was stolen before I could save any information. I am now locked out of my account and cannot reset it as I don't have any of the necessary details. I contacted EDD, but they couldn't assist because I cannot provide the required information. I can't remember the address we used as I have moved to Colorado. All I have is the email address, and I don't even know the login. My phone number has changed multiple times, so I am at a loss. I am facing the risk of losing my home and car, and I am feeling helpless about the situation.

I am experiencing issues with the EDD payment system. EDD employees may have compromised my identity, and I am still not receiving my payments for over a month. Unfortunately, it feels like the situation has not improved. I believe we are facing challenges where money seems to take priority over people. It is disheartening to witness money being valued more than individuals, especially during a pandemic. This lack of unity and empathy is concerning and reflects poorly on our society.

I applied for my claim in March when I lost my job, but I have not received any payments yet despite certifying regularly. I submitted a picture of my driver's license and a pay stub to verify my identity, but my documents were declined. Despite calling several times for help, I have not received any assistance. I was advised to submit an appeal form a month and a half ago, but I have not heard back. I have pending payments and cannot certify. I suggested an ID.me meeting for identity verification, but it was declined. This situation has been challenging, and I just want to pay my bills. Please find a way to verify my identity so I can receive my payments.

I have been calling every single day for months trying to certify on the dates I was instructed, but I am facing multiple issues. When I call, I either cannot get through and get disconnected by the automated system, or I end up waiting on hold for 2 to 7 hours just to speak to a representative who then tells me I need to speak to a tier 2 person. If I am lucky enough to reach a tier 2 person, they often act like they are looking into my claim, put me on a brief hold, and then end the call abruptly. These ongoing struggles to certify are incredibly frustrating and time-consuming.

I have been trying to certify for months now, but the customer service experience has been frustrating. I face issues like getting disconnected by the automated system, being put on hold for up to hours with no response, or even reaching someone who directs me to a tier * representative but then hangs up or asks me to call back. Occasionally, I manage to speak to a tier * representative who seems to look into my claim but then abruptly hangs up after a brief hold. It's been a challenging process to get the assistance I need.

I have been trying to certify for months, calling every day. However, I face the following issues every time: 1) I can't get through and get disconnected by the automated system, 2) I wait on hold for one to two hours and then hear an automated message saying they have closed, 3) After waiting for one to two hours, I speak to someone who tells me I need a tier * person, puts me on hold, and never returns or instructs me to try calling back, or 4) I manage to speak to a tier * person who seems to look into my claim, puts me on hold briefly, and then hangs up on me.
