I appreciate the addition of a Family Dollar store in East Prairie, MO. However, there are concerning issues with the manager and some employees. It seems they are stealing from the store by discarding items in the dumpsters for friends to pick up. I have heard reports of drug use in the store, with a bag of meth even found in the bathroom. The manager seems incompetent, not bothering to price items and throwing them out instead. When the freezer broke, the manager took items home and only shared what she didn't want. The store's inventory appears to be suffering. To ensure the store's longevity, it's vital to address these management issues promptly. Training or considering new management might be necessary as the current team seems irresponsible.

I sent an email to your company a few days ago but have not received a response yet. I have been calling the store at various times for the past three days, but no one has answered. While shopping at your store, I left behind some items. I completed a form with my receipt number and date for the lost items and I am hopeful for a response. I am concerned if my items were found and if I indeed left them behind. I have proof of purchase for the items. Can you assist me with this matter? The store is located at #[redacted] in Alpine, Texas.

I purchased a Visa Vanilla Gift card at Family Dollar in Robeline, Louisiana, to pay a bill. However, when I returned home and tried to use the $65.00 loaded on the card, the transaction was declined. I was informed that the money was transferred to a PayPal account, and despite filing a dispute, I have not received a resolution from Visa Vanilla. I am frustrated by this experience and disappointed that I have not been able to pay my bill on time due to this issue. I hope to get my $65.00 back as soon as possible. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

During my recent visit to Family Dollar Store number [redacted] on Highway 85, I encountered extremely poor customer service. Upon entering, an employee, male, was seated and did not greet me. He was speaking on his cell phone using profanity, which was off-putting. When I checked out, he seemed disinterested, did not thank me, and even neglected to hand me my receipt. This behavior was unacceptable considering I am a regular customer. The employee's unprofessionalism and rudeness left a negative impression on me. The incident occurred on January 30th, [redacted], around 5:57 pm. Despite the store number being [redacted], my receipt shows [redacted] for item 12. I'm disappointed with this level of service and hope it improves in the future.

I purchased a Visa Vanilla Giftcard and loaded $65.00 to pay a bill online. Upon attempting to pay the bill at home, the transaction was declined. After contacting the number on the back of the card, I was informed the balance was zero and the funds went to a PayPal account PAinteresti[redacted]4E4E2 with a pending transaction. Despite my confusion and denial of the transaction, it proceeded, leading me to question the integrity of the situation. Upon contacting PayPal, they could not find the account specified. Subsequently, I called the Visa Vanilla card support again, and I was advised to await filing a dispute. Doubting this instruction, I called once more and was then guided on how to initiate a dispute immediately. I have filed the dispute but have yet to receive an update on its status.

On January 31, [redacted], around 5:40 p.m. at store#[redacted] on E. 3rd St. in Chattanooga, TN, I bought a 3-pack of paint rollers. I added $[redacted].00 to my cash app, and the cashier said my total was $[redacted]. I paid $[redacted] and received $0.63 in change. As I walked away, I checked the receipt and noticed the total was actually $[redacted].37. I went back to the register to point out the error, but the cashier claimed she couldn't remember and accused me of being the last customer she served while she was busy texting. After three attempts at counting the money, she called the manager, who was unhelpful and refused to correct the mistake. When I asked for their names, they both became hostile and even cursed at me in front of other customers, including children. I took a photo of the employees as evidence. My wife works for WKRN Channel 3, and if I don't hear from Family Dollar, this incident will be aired on the 5:00 news. It's disappointing that Family Dollar allows their employees to mistreat customers and mishandle situations like this, especially over a small $8 discrepancy. This experience has led me to reconsider shopping at Family Dollar and has tarnished my view of Chattanooga, TN.

On February 4th, [redacted], at Family Dollar on 24th Street in Omaha, Nebraska, I was asked to leave the store for not wearing a mask. The employee stated it was a CDC mandate to wear masks. The lack of respect and professionalism from the employee was disappointing. Despite complying by putting on my mask, I noticed the female cashier not wearing one, which further upset me. The inconsistency in enforcing the mask policy and the conduct of the staff left me feeling disrespected and offended. I have been a customer for over five years but will reconsider shopping there due to the behavior of your employees. Hiring rude and disrespectful staff will surely drive customers away. Additionally, the store being closed for lunch inconveniences elderly customers who depend on it. Monitoring employee behavior and addressing these issues promptly is crucial for customer satisfaction.

I would like to request a call from your team urgently. My number is [redacted], and my name is J. Grubaugh. I have been a loyal customer at Family Dollar for 15 years. Recently, a new manager has added a security measure that makes it difficult for disabled seniors like me to access items. The broomstick attached to the shopping carts at the store's exit is an inconvenience. I have faced challenges carrying heavy items to my car, resulting in injuries. Unless this issue is resolved promptly, I will have to escalate it to the Better Business Bureau. Waiting for an employee to assist me with my purchases, sometimes for up to an hour, is unacceptable. As a nearby essential store in my community, I urge you to address this matter promptly. If I am unable to answer your call, kindly leave a message with a number for me to return your call. Thank you for your attention to this issue, and have a pleasant day.

I bought a Moto E prepaid phone for $34 as advertised on the company app with a requirement to purchase $40 or more of airtime. I purchased the $40 airtime to ensure I could get the phone at the promoted price. However, the store staff and management seemed confused and unhelpful, insisting I was getting the wrong phone despite it being the correct brand as stated in the promotion. They mentioned needing a coupon, which was only necessary for a different Verizon phone, and didn't seem willing to refund me the price difference. After a frustrating 25-minute exchange, I left without a resolution. I was charged the full price for an item that was clearly on sale. The same phone is advertised for $19, and I expect this discount to be honored when I receive my refund.

Hello, my name is Virginia. I had a disappointing experience at your Woodbury, NJ store on Evergreen Ave. I purchased a jogging set with a torn seam on the pants but did not have the receipt when I tried to exchange it for a new pair. Four employees at the register refused my exchange and were unhelpful, despite my regular monthly spending there of over $[redacted]. The store was messy, with dirty floors and obstructed aisles. This behavior was unacceptable for a place that should prioritize customer service. I am considering escalating this issue further due to the disrespectful treatment I received. Thank you for addressing this matter.

My mother and I visited The Family Dollar at Oceana Square last night, Friday, February 11, [redacted]. We were there until 10:00 PM, which was 20 minutes before closing time. Unfortunately, for the second time, the lady with the dyed red hair and a sour expression on her face was rude to us. She insisted we make a purchase or leave the store, which was very upsetting. I don't believe she likes me because of a past incident discussing a robbery. This encounter marked the second time she drove me out of the store, and I refuse to go back. Other customers have also had issues with her, leading to frustrations among shoppers. It seems that customers are beginning to prefer Dollar General due to better services and offers available there.

Earlier today, I visited Family Dollar and bought only two items. Upon checking my receipt, I noticed that the prices were higher than what was displayed in the store. The cashier explained they were in the process of updating prices, but as a customer, I believe I should have been charged the advertised prices. One item cost nearly $2 more and the other was $0.25 above the displayed price. I feel that Family Dollar should refund me the difference I ended up paying. The cashier should have honored the prices shown in the store to ensure a fair transaction.

As a regular customer who lives close to one of your stores, I find it uncomfortable to shop there due to recent experiences. I bought gifts before Christmas and tried to return them on the 30th day, as per the policy, but was informed I needed to return them to the original store. However, upon trying to return the items, including non-perishable grocery items, I was turned away despite seeing others do the same online. The items I wanted to return were in perfect condition with tags, yet I faced difficulties. On another occasion, I requested to have security sensors removed from two items under $20, provided the receipt, but still encountered issues with the staff not recognizing the items. This treatment by the associates consistently leaves me feeling disrespected. I have receipts for all purchases and request assistance in returning items and removing any remaining security sensors on my previous purchases.

I would like to share my experience at the Family Dollar store on [redacted] Rte [redacted], Independence, MO [redacted]. On 3/6/[redacted] at 3:45 pm, I visited the store, and there was a young African American cashier. While he was friendly with another customer, he did not greet me or engage in any usual customer service conversation. When I politely asked why he didn't speak to customers, he responded rudely and even told me not to come back. This behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. As a long-time loyal customer, I believe customers deserve respect and basic courtesy. I hope this issue is addressed promptly because having an employee behave in such a hostile manner reflects poorly on the store's reputation. It was a disappointing visit, and I trust that steps will be taken to improve customer service at this location.

I recently relocated and requested a transfer. I have already discussed this with the district manager in Newport News, VA. I have been trying to reach out to Carmine, the district manager of my previous store, but unfortunately, he has blocked my number. I am seeking assistance with completing my transfer. I have also spoken with Cee Dee, the district manager for Newport News, VA. Kindly get back to me as soon as possible so I can start working again.

I am disappointed with the behavior of the store manager at store [redacted] located at [redacted] 28th Street in Gulfport. I frequent this store and the manager consistently appears unwelcoming, often not speaking or smiling. When I mentioned this to a cashier, the manager was informed, and on Tuesday, 3-8-22, the cashier informed me I was not permitted in the store. The cashier offered to let me speak with the manager, but I declined, stating I would consult my attorney. As a loyal customer, I did not anticipate being banned for voicing a concern. Despite my attempts to contact management, I have not received a response. I enjoy shopping at this store and seek clarification on whether I am welcome to continue doing so or should avoid it. I am frustrated by this unnecessary situation and will take further action if necessary.

I have items I want to return, but the store won't issue a refund. The items are unopened, and I have the original receipt. When I bought them, I asked the cashier if I could return them, and they assured me that as long as the items were unopened and unused, I could get a refund in the same form as the original payment. Despite this, the store manager refused my return and mentioned a no refund policy due to COVID, even though it's not posted anywhere in the store. I just want to return the items and get a refund.

There seems to be a recurring issue with the prices displayed not matching those at the register, dating back to late last year. Today, on 3-18-22, I once again experienced this discrepancy. I made an attempt to reach out directly to corporate but was put on hold for an excessive 2 hours, 6 minutes, and 19 seconds without speaking to anyone. I am feeling frustrated and outraged by these ongoing deceptive practices, and I am considering escalating this matter to the CA Attorney General and potentially federal authorities. I want to clarify that my complaint is not aimed at the employees at my local store but at the corporate level. I am anticipating a prompt response from corporate to address this matter. Thank you, Teresa Rivas.

I had a disappointing experience at your Upper Alton store. While I was waiting to check out, the clerk appeared preoccupied talking with girls who seemed to be her daughters. When I finally approached the counter, she directed me to another counter despite seeing me waiting there. Feeling frustrated, I placed my items on the counter, and our interaction turned sour. She told me to leave the store abruptly. Through their conversation, I gathered that Saturday was her last day, and she was described as an elderly short white lady with dark hair. I believe no customer should be spoken to or treated this way by your staff, especially with personal distractions affecting the service. I urge you to address this issue promptly and reach out to me with an apology.

I recently visited store number04207 on 3/30/22. I made a purchase of $99 worth of merchandise, including an air filter. During the checkout, I accidentally left the air filter at the cash register while the clerk was ringing up my other items. Upon realizing my mistake at home, I tried calling the store multiple times to have the air filter set aside for me to pick up the next day, but unfortunately, no one answered the phone despite my numerous attempts.
