I arrived at the restaurant at around 6:12 a.m. to place an order. They were supposed to open at 6:00 a.m. I was greeted by a Caucasian female wearing a black mask with sequins attached. We exchanged pleasantries, and I ordered the sirloin tips with eggs. When I tried to pay, the waitress mentioned needing a card from the back. She returned after 3-5 minutes, informing me that she couldn't take my order as the manager had not arrived yet. She suggested coming back in 20 minutes. I inquired if they indeed opened at 6, and she confirmed while providing a different excuse. I felt disrespected, as the waitress should have informed me earlier about the manager not being there. I retired from the United States Navy with 30 years of service. I didn't come to play games and expect better from IHOP. As a restaurant owner, I would be ashamed to turn away a customer for that reason. Sharing this experience with other Sailors on the base is important to me. I visited store #[redacted] for a to-go order today around 12:35 pm. The greeting was warm and friendly, and the staff member took my order for a ham and cheese omelet with pancakes and classic breakfast crepes. However, it is important for employees to listen carefully and repeat the order accurately. I noticed on my receipt that the crepes were not included, so I went back inside to order and pay for them. Despite waiting around 45 minutes, I was informed that the crepes were no longer available. The manager did not seem apologetic for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately, this experience has made me consider taking my business elsewhere. It is frustrating when items are listed on the menu but not available, and miscommunication about the wait time only adds to the disappointment. I had a disappointing dining experience at IHOP, Store #[redacted] today. There wasn't enough lettuce, so spinach was offered, and my turkey dinner had very minimal portions. My dinner companion's tilapia was also disappointing. We only enjoyed the salad and toast, and even the coffee for the senior special didn't make up for it. The credit for the meal was only $2.29, which was unsatisfactory. The manager's response to the situation left much to be desired. As a marketing professor, I stress the importance of providing feedback for improvement. Despite being regulars, we may seek other dining options due to declining food quality at IHOP. My spouse and I opted for dinner at IHOP instead of the crowded Torchy's nearby. We noticed no cars outside, assuming quick service. Yet, upon entering, no "please wait to be seated" sign was visible, so we seated ourselves. Surprisingly, no other patrons were present. When the hostess eventually came to our table, she mentioned their policy of not serving customers who seat themselves. Despite the lack of a sign, she served us reluctantly, making a rude comment. This location seems to struggle with customer service, with young staff that act immaturely. Sadly, IHOP has declined in quality, and this experience has deterred us from returning.

My spouse and I opted to dine at IHOP tonight instead of the crowded torchys next door. With no visible cars, we assumed service would be quick. Upon arrival, a hostess gestured for us to wait, then disappeared. We entered and seated ourselves since no sign indicated otherwise. Despite being the only customers, the hostess later reprimanded us for seating ourselves. She relented but made a snide remark. The lack of clear seating instructions is confusing. Displeased with the service, we left. This IHOP seems to have recurring customer service issues with young employees. Sadly, this experience tarnishes my former admiration for IHOP.

I have several complaints about the IHOP on Brainerd Road. When you enter, there is no host to greet you, and workers are outside smoking in their cars. The waitress forgot my salt, didn't offer drink refills, and the gravy for the biscuit was tasteless. The service is unacceptable, and staff seem more interested in smoking weed. During lunch at the IHOP in Hickory, N.C., our group of 3 adults and 2 children experienced poor service. Despite being seated, we were initially neglected by our waiter and had to request assistance from the hostess. It took a considerable amount of time for our drink and food orders to be taken and served. Even after the food arrived, our waiter did not attend to us, prompting one of us to seek him out for drink refills. The lack of attention to our table and slow service left a negative impression. Regrettably, I doubt that sharing this feedback will lead to any improvement since it seems to reflect the weak corporate culture at IHOP. I have decided not to return to this IHOP location in the future.

I recently dined at IHOP on West Sahara with two friends. Our orders were separated, and I requested to combine them as one stack of three pancakes and eggs. The supervisor informed us of a dollar saving. When paying, I handed a $[redacted] bill for change, receiving $25 back from a $50 charge, leaving a $6 tip. My husband and I visited IHOP on June 31st around 11 am. Despite being told there was a 30 to 40-minute wait with about 6 parties ahead of us, we were disappointed to see a lack of cleanliness in the dining area. One side had about five dirty tables that hadn't been cleaned, while the other side was similarly messy. The manager seemed preoccupied with takeout orders, and many of the waitstaff appeared indifferent. Although it was a holiday, the overall condition of the restaurant was unacceptable. This wasn't the first time we experienced this, which is why we have reduced our visits to IHOP. We even had a favorite waiter, but unfortunately, he wasn't working that day. I placed an order for curbside pickup on May 27th through the online app for noon that day. However, upon arrival, I realized the order was scheduled for the next day at noon. I spoke with the restaurant manager, who requested that I cancel and resubmit the order for the correct date. Despite attempting this, I encountered issues. The manager assured me she would resolve the matter and advised me to wait 3 business days for a refund. After a week of no communication, I revisited the restaurant to follow up, only to be informed that the area manager was handling my refund. So far, no progress has been made, leading me to purchase the meal again. I am dissatisfied with the delay in the refund process and eagerly await resolution.

Recently, my family and I visited the new IHOP on 149th Street in the Bronx, NYC, near Lincoln Hospital. We were pleased with the diverse staff, clean environment, and delicious food. However, our experience was marred when our server, a light-skinned Black girl with long eyelashes, asked us to tip her via Cash App, which made us uncomfortable. Though I reported this to the manager, no action was taken, and the server is still employed there. Is this acceptable behavior according to IHOP's policy?

During our recent dining experience, my partner and I encountered a distressing situation. Hello, I have attempted to reach out to the district manager, Michael Phillips, multiple times regarding an issue at store [redacted]. After dedicating 12 years to the company, it is disheartening not to receive the promised bonus upon giving a two-week notice. Despite contributing to sales goals, the bonus was not paid, and it has been mentioned by Stephanie from Texas that the matter rests with Michael and Yvonne. Respecting the advice not to contact Stephanie further, I pursued a small claims court case incurring an additional $99, which will be included in the claim against Yvonne Jackson and Michael Phillips for mishandling the owed bonus. HR instructed me to direct any further inquiries to Michael and Yvonne, hence this course of action. I dined at Store 36-[redacted] yesterday evening and ordered three sirloin tip dinners with side salads. The salads had rotten black leaves and tomatoes that were going bad, evident from the taste and smell. After returning two salads, the third one still had bad tomatoes. We requested the manager but were informed none were present around 6 pm. Concerned, my husband and son fell ill in the night. We avoided the salad but consumed the sirloin tips with onions and mushrooms. Neglecting vegetable quality could lead to sickness. I frequently order from the Pace, Florida location every other Sunday with the same menu selection. Most times my order is correct, but occasionally, there are issues. On this recent Father's Day, both of our orders were incorrect. I had ordered sirloin tips cooked medium with a slight pink color inside but received ham instead. Additionally, my order for double hash browns with tomatoes, onions, and cheese was incorrect. I spoke to the manager and the staff member Josh, who apologized for the error. The sirloin tips had more fat than usual. I have pictures of the issues and would appreciate a follow-up call regarding the matter. Our total was $38.86, excluding the $10 tip left at the counter. We are requesting a refund and will not be returning to this Pace location. A change in the cooking staff may be needed.

I recently placed an online delivery order. The food arrived on time, but to my disappointment, the two Philly Cheesesteaks and Classic cheeseburger were not up to standard. The Cheesesteaks had no onions, minimal cheese, were dry, and lacked meat. Additionally, the food was cold and the fries were undercooked. Contrastingly, my usual IHOP on [redacted] in Cedar Park consistently serves warm, delicious, and appetizing meals. My family and I are regular customers at IHOP and enjoy the food there. The store I ordered from today is in Austin, and while the receipt lacks a store number, it includes the following references: WEB ORDER [redacted], CHK [redacted], and Margaret_Ho_616. I spent $42.77, including the delivery fee, and I am requesting a gift card for the same amount to use at my local IHOP.

I inquired with the waitress about the price of an additional order of thick bacon for my wife, and she mentioned it would be $1.50. However, upon receiving the bill, I was charged $5 for the bacon. The manager explained the price increase to $2.50 per order, but I was not informed of this change. I had a negative experience on May 9th when my Denver omelet was not prepared correctly, as the ingredients were placed on top instead of inside. My name is Roslyn. I called your Edgewood Maryland location at 8:34 am East Coast time to place an order for pick up. I was put on hold twice for about 6 minutes each time. A young lady answered who became loud and started arguing with someone else in the background about me. She mentioned someone named Michael Dillard being a manager, but he was not. I expressed my disappointment about the situation. The cook, who answered, also left the line open for the young lady to speak rudely about me again. I urge you to review the phone records of both calls at 8:34 am. I am a AVP at a local bank and found this level of customer service unacceptable. To whom it may concern, I am currently at the IHOP on Glenstone Avenue in Springfield, Missouri, and I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. In contrast, I never have any issues with the service at the IHOP in St. Louis. My group of three was ignored for 20 minutes before being seated, while 3 other groups left due to the lack of service. There was no greeting, and I had to inform the hostess about the size of my party without any prompt. We sat for 10 minutes without being asked for drinks or given menu explanations. Another 10 minutes passed before we could order, even though there were only 3 groups in the restaurant, none larger than 4, and all other groups had been served. The kitchen was efficient, but the wait staff lacked urgency. Our waitress, unfortunately, walked slowly with no sense of urgency, which as a waitress myself, I find unacceptable. Despite the cold hash browns, bacon, eggs, and pancakes we received, we finished our meal but had to request our check multiple times. The service was so poor we still left a 10% tip even though we did not want to tip at all. I witnessed another group struggle to pay and ultimately leave without being able to settle their bill, which is detrimental for the business. This experience was disappointing, and I will not be returning to this location or any other IHOP in the near future. I rarely leave feedback, but I am utterly astonished by the poor service. Last night's dining experience at IHOP for a special family dinner was very disappointing. After finding a hair in my meal, I politely asked the waiter to check before he walked away. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the waiter's unprofessional response shocked me and the others at the table. The replacement dish brought to me within 30 seconds was clearly the same one, and when questioned, the staff seemed unconcerned about hygiene or customer service. The manager's indifferent attitude and lack of concern for the issue were truly frustrating. The disregard for cleanliness, lack of respect, and poor customer service displayed at IHOP that evening have left us with no desire to return to the restaurant in the future. It's unfortunate that such a negative experience has now tarnished the reputation of a previously enjoyed local eatery.
