I am having trouble filing my unemployment insurance claim online for the months I was out of work to receive funds through the CARES Act by the December 31st deadline. The online system is unable to authenticate my identity. When attempting to reach unemployment by phone, I am continuously put on hold and eventually disconnected. This has left me unable to file my claim online and unsuccessful in contacting anyone by phone for assistance.

After losing my job in March due to COVID, I applied for unemployment benefits in Pennsylvania as advised. However, after a long wait, it turns out my wages are with New Jersey, where I also work. I applied for New Jersey benefits, including backpay of $8,[redacted], but I've yet to receive anything. After being rehired briefly and then permanently laid off, I have filed a new claim for unemployment, but my previous claim remains unresolved. The lack of communication from New Jersey is distressing, particularly as I face the risk of losing my home. I seek clarity on my eligibility for the $8,[redacted] owed to me. Any assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing issues with reopening my unemployment claim with the ID# [redacted]. On 11/26/[redacted], after claiming 0 hours, I was notified that I wouldn't receive unemployment benefits that week because I had worked the week prior (Confirmation #[redacted][redacted]). I have tried to follow the instructions to reopen my claim, but I keep receiving an error message stating that I cannot continue filing because my claim balance is zero. The Reemployment Call Center has been unresponsive due to high call volumes, leaving me unable to speak with an agent for assistance. I have been attempting to resolve this for two weeks without success, and I am in need of help to reopen my claim, as I am currently without work due to COVID. Thank you for your assistance. Diana V.

I began receiving unemployment benefits due to the pandemic starting on 3/20/20 when I lost my job because of the pandemic. It seemed to extend a previous claim from 6-2-19. I received an email on May 30, [redacted], saying I could certify for 8 weeks back but couldn't certify for any time after May 30, [redacted]. Despite several attempts, the system wouldn't pay me. I was supposed to receive $[redacted] per week plus the $[redacted] pandemic payment. Even after trying to open a new claim, it wouldn't go through. Finally, on 7-25-20, the system allowed me to open a new claim for weekly payments of $[redacted] plus the $[redacted]. The issue seems to stem from my original claim's year end date being May 30, [redacted]. I never received the weekly unemployment benefits from May 30 to July 18, [redacted], along with the $[redacted] pandemic payments for those weeks when I was still unemployed due to the pandemic. Despite multiple attempts to update the claim or reach unemployment services by phone, I couldn't get any resolutions. Thank you for your assistance. - Thomas D. G.

Since being laid off due to Covid-19 in April, I have been attempting to claim benefits but have not received any assistance or updates on my situation. Recently, I received a Bank of America card, yet I still have not been informed about the benefits I have been claiming since April. I am facing difficulties with paying my bills and rent, and the situation is becoming increasingly challenging every month that passes. I am hoping to resolve this issue promptly. I am concerned about the weeks of benefits I have claimed and I would like to understand more about the $[redacted] weekly assistance. I am struggling to make ends meet and I am anxious about potentially facing homelessness, especially with winter approaching.

I received unemployment benefits for 13 weeks starting in February. I was informed by both NJ and the Federal Government that my benefits would be extended for at least another 46 weeks. However, I have not received any payments since. I am 68 years old, a recent cancer survivor, and unable to work outside my home during this pandemic. Despite calling weekly at my assigned time, I have been repeatedly told that my claim is not payable at this time. Congresswoman Mikie Sherill and a member of her staff, Willy Tonka, assured me that the issue had been resolved, yet when I tried to certify online, it said that $0.00 had been paid. When I called for follow-up, I was told they were too busy to assist me. I am owed over $15,[redacted] in benefits. My claim number is #[redacted]. Thank you.

Hello, I need some assistance. I initially filed back on 3/15/[redacted], and despite checking repeatedly, I have yet to receive any funds. Recently, I received an email from unemployment stating that I have a balance. I noticed that several weeks have passed without any payment. It has been a challenge for me financially, so realizing I have unemployment benefits pending after almost 35 weeks is significant. I never received a card, but during my application, I provided my debit card information. I'm wondering if that information is still on file. Thank you. -Jeannicole H.

I reside in Long Branch and my name is Keyona L. Bryant. I am concerned about the delay in receiving my money, as it has been three weeks now. I was contacted yesterday, but the caller hung up abruptly. Regardless of the time of day, I am encountering a high volume of calls when I attempt to contact the appropriate party. Given the holiday season, I am uncertain about the status of my funds. I attempted a phone claim but used the incorrect PIN, which is actually [redacted]. I am eager to resolve this matter promptly. For further communication, please reach out to me at [redacted]. Furthermore, I have been unsuccessful in updating my email information.

I was eligible for benefits between April and August, but I did not receive any extra funds from the CARES Act. I had to resort to working as a DoorDash driver to cover my expenses after losing my job in the Army in April, following the postponement of basic training due to COVID-19. Although I have found new employment, receiving the CARES Act funds would greatly assist me. Kindly advise me on the possibility of still obtaining these benefits.

On September 27th, I applied for unemployment benefits. After waiting for about 12 weeks, I finally received a payment of $2,[redacted]. However, I was surprised to find out that only $[redacted] was deposited into my account, with the rest going towards child support. I did some research and learned that legally, child support can only take up to 50% of unemployment benefits. I am struggling to comprehend why such a large portion was deducted. In the current situation, receiving only $12 a week is not enough for me to survive. Any assistance or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My claim was active, and I returned to work in October on a part-time basis. I reported the hours and wages earned during those weeks in my weekly claim. When work appeared to be picking up, I stopped filing weekly claims assuming my unemployment would end, as it had before. Unfortunately, due to decreased work because of the pandemic, we have closed again. Now, I am unable to submit a new claim.

I have not received a check since July. Last week, I was informed that my retroactive pay would be deposited into my account on Thursday, along with an additional $3,[redacted] for the $[redacted] weekly benefit, to be deposited on Saturday. However, I only received $1,[redacted] on Saturday. Upon checking today, I noticed discrepancies in my weekly benefits and claim information. I received an email from dol.nj.gov on December 18 regarding my eligibility for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) under the CARES Act. Despite initially being deemed ineligible for NJ regular unemployment benefits, I discovered through the email that I might qualify for PUA benefits. When checking my claim details on the NJDOL website, I found a claim date of 07/26/[redacted], a Weekly Benefit Rate of $[redacted], a Remaining Balance of $[redacted], with no payments received so far. However, on December 20, I encountered an issue when trying to claim benefits as the benefit year for my 07-26-[redacted] claim had supposedly expired, even though I had not filed any claims or received payments. I seek guidance on how to access the benefits I may be entitled to from July 26, [redacted], and whether I will qualify for benefits under new federal legislation that is anticipated to pass. Thank you for any help or information provided.

I am experiencing difficulties submitting my weekly claims. The website only allows me to file for Covid-19 related claims, which is not the reason for my application. When I called last week, I received a message stating that it had already been filed; however, I tried again and encountered the same response. I have not yet received any payment for last week, even though the claim center states that the last week paid was on 12/5 and the next payment should be on 12/19. The benefits are supposed to be paid weekly. This is my third attempt to seek assistance. Please contact me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted] I am struggling to buy food and pay bills until I receive my benefits. To resolve this issue, I need to file for regular unemployment benefits online (not Covid-19 related) and ensure that the missing payments are addressed.

Hello, my name is David Schmidt. I was employed in [redacted] and [redacted] until August 22, [redacted]. I have my W-2 forms from that period. After leaving that job, I applied to be a Lyft driver but due to concerns about COVID-19, I postponed starting. Eventually, the pandemic prevented me from working for Lyft altogether. I applied for unemployment benefits on June 28, [redacted], under the CARES Act PUA program. I tried driving for Lyft in August but encountered issues with safety precautions. Following a denial due to lack of Base weeks, I received $6,[redacted] but faced challenges with my claim. Despite multiple interviews and questionnaires, I've been confused about my eligibility. I fear being found ineligible and owing money back. I seek advice regarding submitting documentation from Lyft and navigating the ongoing situation with unemployment benefits. Thank you for your assistance. David Schmidt.

I work at a seasonal country club that closed on November 30, [redacted]. In the past two years, I have been able to collect unemployment during the off-season. This year, due to the pandemic, I tried to extend my unemployment. I am a server and returned to work on September 9, [redacted]. Unfortunately, my last day was November 4, [redacted], as someone tested positive for COVID-19. I have been attempting to contact someone via phone every day, but have been unsuccessful. I was informed that a claim was filed back in June, but I am struggling to get any assistance now. I really need this financial support as I am currently unemployed, and job opportunities in the restaurant industry are scarce due to the ongoing situation with the pandemic. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I submitted my benefits claim over two months ago. I was informed that I needed to "verify" some personal details and needed to contact Mr. Donald Borowski, an assistant director handling my claim and its final approval. Despite daily attempts, I have been unable to reach him as he never answers his phone, and his voicemail is always full. I do not have his email or any other means of contact. Could someone assist me with this issue? My name is Amanda B., SSN: [redacted]-08-[redacted], DOB: 10/17/[redacted].
