I have a flight booked to South Africa on 19 July [redacted] with reference number 63HXNO. I am kindly asking for permission to bring over 20kg of additional luggage on top of my 30kg allowance to carry charity items for Mbekweni township near Paarl. In the past, while volunteering in Cambodia, Singapore Airlines granted an extra 20kg luggage allowance per trip at no extra cost, and I hope that our Australian airline could also support this charitable cause. If you are willing to consider my request, I can provide you with a letter from Success Builders International, the sponsor of the charity work in Mbekweni, to verify my intention.

I recently purchased (2) tickets on American Airlines, and the outbound flight is operated by Qantas. When trying to select seats on the Qantas-operated leg of the journey, both AA.com and the Qantas website did not allow for seat selection. At Qantas, we only had the option to indicate seat preferences like window, aisle, or no preference. To resolve this, I need to speak with a Qantas representative to determine if there will be an opportunity to select seats later on and how to do so. If seat selection is not possible, I would like to know how seats will be assigned and ensure that my companion and I can sit together.

Subject: Concerns Regarding Recent Qantas Flight Experience Dear Qantas Customer Service, I would like to address a recent travel experience with serious problems involving my journey. My flight, with Booking Reference: SZUCUT and Flight No. QF [redacted], departing from Auckland Airport on Saturday, May 6, [redacted], was delayed, causing me to miss my connecting flight to Canberra upon arrival in Sydney. The ground staff advised me of a hotel booking at the Vibe Hotel Canberra Airport, but upon reaching Sydney, I encountered issues with the shuttle transfer to The Holiday Inn. Subsequently, I had to resort to a taxi to reach The Holiday Inn and faced inconveniences due to these disruptions. Despite being rebooked for a flight the next day, my travel plans to the coast had to be rearranged by friends. This experience has been incredibly stressful and disruptive. I am seeking a resolution and would appreciate your assistance in addressing these concerns promptly. Sincerely, Frank G. Patterson

I purchased a flight from Australia to Birmingham, Alabama, but my husband missed his flight. The airline is now requesting an additional $[redacted]. I attempted to contact them by phone to cancel and reschedule his flight, but my calls went unanswered. I sent an email, but they responded saying it was too late due to customs reasons. I am seeking advice on how to proceed as the email mentioned I must come up with the $[redacted] by the end of the month; otherwise, I'll have to repurchase the tickets. Any guidance is appreciated.

Hello, I have a question regarding my daughter's upcoming trip to James Cook University in Townsville for her Master's studies. She will be traveling via Qantas Airline flight QF68 and QF1990 on the 12th of July [redacted] from Bangalore, with a layover in Sydney. I would like to know if immigration will be conducted at Sydney Airport. Additionally, since there is a layover of over 9 hours before the connecting flight to Townsville, I am curious if she will be allowed to leave Sydney Airport after immigration. Lastly, can baggage collection be done at Townsville Airport?

Dear Sir or Madam, I recently purchased a flight ticket with Qantas Airways using Reservation Code 4CHM7C. My flight is set to depart on July 19, [redacted], from Zagreb, Croatia, to Queenstown, New Zealand. Following a discussion with one of your representatives today, I kindly request confirmation of the baggage allowance to prevent any issues at check-in in Zagreb. Please note that the first flight will be operated by British Airways, and they stated that the baggage allowance is determined by Qantas Airways, not British Airways, prompting my call to the Qantas customer service. As per the phone conversation, the confirmed baggage allowance is as follows: - One checked bag weighing up to 32kg. - One ski bag weighing up to 32kg. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, Klemen Kosi

Quantas Airline has shown little consideration for its passengers. I've been traveling from Perth to Sydney with a connected flight to Johannesburg. Despite our scheduled morning departures, delays were only announced after numerous complaints. I am disappointed in this airline's poor service and unclean planes. Furthermore, passengers who appeared ill were allowed on board without hesitation. The quality of food and services does not justify the ticket cost. Clear communication in English from Quantas service staff seems to be lacking. It's advisable to read reviews before choosing to fly with Quantas if you seek comfort. Regrettably, we are expected to return on the same aircraft that supposedly had "engineering issues" causing further delays, which is unsettling. The conditions at the cold airport are uncomfortable, with unclean restrooms. The customs officers handling the area displayed unfriendly attitudes and poor language skills. Their assumptions about African travelers wanting to stay in the country are incorrect. Rest assured, this is not the case.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Quantas Airline. Our journey from Perth to Sydney was riddled with delays, and the continuation to Johannesburg was further delayed without proper communication from the airline. The cleanliness of the plane was subpar, sick passengers were allowed on board, and the overall service and food were unsatisfactory given the price of the ticket. I also question the English proficiency of Quantas service staff. Checking reviews before choosing an airline is now crucial for me. The situation worsened as we were expected to fly back on the same aircraft that had previous "engineering problems" and faced additional delays. Waiting in uncomfortable conditions at the airport manned by unhelpful customs officers further added to the frustration. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, I discovered my suitcase was damaged, and I urgently need assistance in getting it repaired or replaced.

My spouse and I purchased economy tickets from LAX to Sydney in February [redacted]. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure upgrades to PREMIUM ECONOMY, our preferred seating option for this route. After recently inquiring about an upgrade from Qantas, we were quoted over $12,[redacted] for both tickets, which was significantly higher than our previous upgrade cost. However, upon discovering a sale on the Qantas website this morning, we found that Premium Economy tickets were available at the normal price of about $6,[redacted] for both tickets. I am interested in canceling our existing Economy tickets for credits of approximately $3,[redacted] each and using them towards purchasing the discounted Premium Economy tickets. I am seeking professional assistance to facilitate this transaction efficiently. Thank you. - Chris S., Qantas Frequent Flier

Booking Reference: 5T7CME I recently received notification that my flight, LY81 on 5 November, has been rescheduled to a different departure time and the flight duration has increased from 8 to 11 hours. This new schedule does not work for me, especially as a 76-year-old, as 11 hours of non-stop flying might be too strenuous. I kindly request to change my booking to the first week of February when I hope the flight will return to its original route, allowing for an 8-hour flight duration as before. Your prompt assistance via email regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, David K. Frequent Flyer [redacted]

Hello, my name is Shana John. I need assistance with a luggage claim from my flight on 10/11/23 with Qantas to Dallas and then to JFK. I received one of my luggage bags, number QF926143, but I am missing the other bag, number QF926148, which is a dark grey carry-on. It has been 6 days since I arrived in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and there are essential medical treatments in that missing bag that I urgently need. I would greatly appreciate any help with locating it. Thank you.
