I used to work as the Bistro Manager at Shoprite of Garwood until my termination on 11/5/21. Subsequently, I applied for unemployment benefits, and I was approved for $[redacted] per week. However, I have not received any payments yet. After contacting unemployment multiple times, I was informed there might be a delay of up to 8 weeks for the initial payment. Despite being told everything was processed, I recently received a letter stating I was working the week of 10/31/21, contradicting my termination on 11/05/21. It seems there was misinformation from Shoprite, stating I was still employed when I was not. I seek assistance as I am in urgent need of my unemployment benefits. The NJ Department of Labor mentioned I did not respond to an email, but I never received any correspondence to reply to. All I received was the Verify Me request. Kindly assist me. Pamela J. Nichols

I am experiencing a hold on my NJ Unemployment account that was initially approved in September [redacted]. Despite multiple calls, I have been told only to wait as they escalate the issue, which can take up to eight weeks to resolve. After this period passed, a new escalation was promised, but I learned that the call center handling the situation can only leave notes and lacks direct contact with the office that can remove the hold. They have no accessible contact information. Today, on December 22nd, I was informed that I might face an additional eight-week waiting period for the review of the latest escalation. I have been in an approved status since September with no progress.

I submitted my claim on April 30, [redacted]. After going through adjudication, I was successful. However, it took over 3 months to complete the process. In September, I received 4 payments that were backdated to June [redacted]. Unfortunately, the payments abruptly stopped. Even after contacting unemployment and being assured that the issue would be resolved due to a mistake on their end, it is now December 28th, and no progress has been made. I am facing financial hardship as my savings have been depleted, and I am struggling to meet my financial obligations.

The determination letter indicates a date a year after my unemployment, hindering my benefit claims. Despite two appeals and three escalations, discrepancies persist in the evaluation. Not considering my Federal Employment or Honor Recovery counseling income compounds the issue. I've repeatedly supplied my dates and earnings to Fed Gov. NJ via fax and email, yet no phone contact has been made. Altering the dates on the website during the determination process appears fraudulent and demonstrates incompetence.

In November, I was notified by mail that I would receive another form in four weeks from the date of the initial communication from Unemployment regarding my eligibility for UI. However, since 11/01/[redacted], I have not received any updates via mail or email from NJ Unemployment. When I certify for weekly benefits online, I am informed that my claim is currently not payable. Upon checking my status every week, it shows that my claim is filed, the next payable week is the following one, but it remains non-payable. I am seeking assistance from a live representative at NJ Unemployment Insurance to address and resolve these issues.

Hello, I wanted to share my experience with re-filing my UI claim in New Jersey on November 7, [redacted]. After 52 weeks of receiving UI benefits, my claim was automatically re-filed. I was informed that I qualify for additional UI benefits due to my earnings, so I have been certifying every week as required. However, I have not received any payments yet and each time I certify, I am told that 'your claim is not payable at this time.' At the end of November, I spoke with a NJ UI representative who submitted my claim for review, assuring me that I should hear back by the end of December regarding the approval. Unfortunately, I have not received any updates and still face the same message when certifying. During the initial 52 weeks of UI, I had disclosed receiving a pension and provided all the necessary information. I made sure to do the same for the re-filed claim. The representative mentioned that the pension information from the original claim might not have transferred automatically to the re-filed claim, which could be the reason for the delay in payments. Your assistance with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I relocated to Florida in September [redacted], where my employer in NJ (McGrann Insulation) transferred me to Gale Insulation in Florida. I worked at Gale Insulation from September to December before accepting a remote position at Advanced Service Solutions, starting on December 6, [redacted]. Unfortunately, as of 01/07/[redacted], I am no longer employed with Advanced Service Solutions. I have some questions: 1. Can I apply for unemployment benefits from NJ, where I contributed while working in NJ before moving? 2. If yes, how should I correctly complete the claim form for NJ unemployment benefits? 3. Am I eligible to apply for unemployment benefits from Florida as well? Appreciate any guidance.

My unemployment claim in NJ has been pending for eight weeks, and they mentioned it would take two more weeks, making it the start of the ninth week tomorrow, Monday 1/17. I am experiencing significant hardship and require assistance in obtaining some clarity. Despite putting in considerable effort to secure a job suitable for my qualifications in the local area, the lack of income has made it ten times more challenging. I am currently falling behind, feeling disheartened, and quite frankly, defeated after numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach out and gain insight into the status of my claim and the necessary steps to proceed. Please help.

I have been struggling to file a claim for about five months. I keep receiving notifications prompting me to claim, but when I attempt to do so, I encounter an error message. During my last conversation with a representative named Kate, she explained that the error is occurring because I did not complete claiming for my previous benefit. As a result, when I filed a new claim, it seems like I am trying to claim both the old and new benefits, causing the error. I am reaching out for assistance in rectifying this issue promptly as I am unemployed and falling behind on bills. Despite being informed that my pending status was recently processed on January 6th, I have been trying to escalate and resolve this since October 29th, [redacted]. I sense a lack of seriousness and adequate assistance from some representatives, but Kate provided clarity on the matter.

I have been struggling to reach out regarding my claim for a while now. In August [redacted], after numerous attempts, I finally connected with a representative. My PUA benefits were showing an error message saying “certification cannot be processed.” After reporting this, they assured me a resolution within eight weeks. When September arrived, with no update and benefits ending, I followed up, only to discover the ticket was still unresolved. Contacting them again in October and November, I learned that the initial ticket had expired, and a new one was submitted. In December, the same issue occurred as the ticket was considered expired once more without any progress. Unfortunately, I am still awaiting a resolution on my claim to this day.

I received several forms at my previous address, [redacted] Diamond Bridge Ave, Hawthorne, NJ [redacted], which I haven't lived at since [redacted]. One of the forms is a notice of claim receipt dated 01/04/[redacted], with the last 4 digits of my social security number matching. It has the identification number C05 at the top. Another form is BC-3C, a notice regarding benefits determination, correctly listing RSM US LLP as my employer with accurate wage data. Additionally, there's an unemployment insurance instructions and appointment notice with claimant ID # [redacted]56. I also unexpectedly received a Bank of America debit card. I am still employed at RSM US LLP and did not apply for unemployment benefits. Any guidance on how to proceed would be appreciated.

I filed a claim last September, but I'm still facing payment issues. I completed the IDme process, but they are insisting that I open a PayPal account even though I only want to receive my unemployment benefits via direct deposit for my weekly claims. Whenever I try to use my email for the weekly claim, the page doesn't load, and I can't reach anyone over the phone. IDme only has my email and phone number on record, and I can't add additional information. When I tried to update my account information, the link wouldn't allow me to go back, resulting in lost data. I'm frustrated with the unhelpful red tape surrounding my NJDOL claims.

I am having difficulty changing the password for my online account as I do not remember the old one. I have attempted to contact support via phone but have been unable to reach anyone for assistance. I am looking to file a new UI claim dating back to December 28th, [redacted], as I was laid off on that date after working throughout the year. However, my previous claim from July [redacted], when I received partial Unemployment benefits, is still active. I require help resetting my password to access my account. The "Forgot password" option leads to an error message stating that the information provided does not match their records. I would appreciate speaking with a representative to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you.

Since April [redacted], I have been waiting to collect the extended unemployment benefit for self-employed workers in New Jersey. The NJDOL system would let me certify, but at the end of my certification, I would receive an email stating that my payment was pending for the week. After about seven weeks of claiming my benefits, I started getting an error message. On June 16, [redacted], I called the unemployment center and was informed that I needed to verify my identity. Although I never received an email or letter requesting identity verification, on June 18, [redacted], NJDOL received approval from ID.ME that my identity was verified. As of February 2, [redacted], my issue remains unresolved, and I continue to receive the same error message. I have not been paid for the seven pending weeks that I was able to claim before the error message started. My case has been escalated multiple times, but as of today, after eight months, no specialist has looked into it. I find this situation very unfair, unprofessional, and irresponsible. I want my issue to be fixed, and I need a specialist to review my claim. Also, I still need to certify for the remaining weeks from June [redacted] to September [redacted].

I recently had an issue with my claim and it was escalated. After 20 challenging days, I connected with a kind lady who helped me resolve the problem after a lengthy discussion. She successfully processed my payment for 2 weeks as expected. However, when I tried to claim my benefits for the following week including one week of vacation pay, my claim was denied due to the vacation pay. Despite the previous lady's efforts and confirming multiple times about the vacation pay, the system still flagged it. My employer is unwell with cancer and might sell the company, leaving me uncertain about my job. It is frustrating to be pushed back into escalation causing delays in receiving crucial support like child support and rent payments. It seems unnecessary when a simple reset could resolve the issue quickly. The system should be more responsive, especially considering the personal challenges many of us are facing.

I applied for unemployment insurance on November 21, [redacted]. I have been patiently waiting for several months for the payment to come through. Despite certifying every week and reaching out numerous times, I keep receiving the same response that specialist review is needed. My financial situation is getting dire, and I am struggling to make ends meet. The expected timeframe of up to 4 weeks has long passed, and I am feeling the strain of the delay.

Since the end of October, I have been approved for unemployment but haven't received payment for all 11 weeks. After speaking to multiple agents, the first few mentioned an issue with my id.me verification, which was resolved on the same day. Despite being told to wait for 2 weeks, I still haven't received any payments. Upon contacting customer service again, they acknowledged that the id.me verification was successful but explained there was a hold on my account because of the previous issue. Now I have to wait up to 6 weeks, but after checking back, I was informed that the wait could extend to 8 weeks. As I enter my 7th week, I hope I won't have to wait even longer. It's frustrating to see bills accumulate while the system keeps delaying the process. This situation doesn't seem fair, especially when we fulfill our tax obligations on time. Assistance is needed urgently, not 11 weeks down the line.

Hello, I was laid off on 12/3/21 due to a lack of work in seasonal landscaping. My return date is 3/21/22, but I have encountered issues with verifying my ID.me account. Despite contacting a woman on 1/11/22 who informed me to create the account, I am still awaiting verification as of 2/15/22. I have not received any unemployment benefits from 12/3/21-2/15/22. I continue to call every morning at 8:00 am without success in reaching anyone. I seek guidance on the best course of action to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your assistance. - Jonathan Hibbard

Dear Team, I require assistance with my COVID-19 claim as I encountered issues certifying weekly after April 25, [redacted]. My NJUI claim was approved, and I need help obtaining my past due benefits until at least September 4, [redacted]. I have been unable to access the system since the first week of May [redacted] and update my account details such as address, phone number, and banking information. I wish to remain a direct deposit customer but was unexpectedly switched to receiving a Bank Of America card in NC. Kindly assist me in reverting to direct deposit. I also seek valid contact information for further assistance. Thank you for your time and support in addressing these matters promptly. Regards, Angela P. Denkins

In 2[redacted], I was furloughed and applied for unemployment benefits. Initially, they claimed my application was fraudulent, and later instructed me to verify my identity using ID.me. Despite completing the verification, I haven't received any updates from the Unemployment Insurance agency, and I've been unable to reach them by phone. With 47 years of work experience and never having previously sought unemployment benefits, I find it frustrating that I am facing obstacles accessing the financial support I need due to their system errors. I've attempted to escalate the issue by contacting the Governor and the UI commissioner, but have yet to receive a resolution.
